Wave Motion Apparatus
For demonstrating longitudinal and transverse motion, consisting of a number of eccentric discs supporting a series of metal rods on revolving the handle, transverse waves are obtained. Longitudinal waves are obtained with bent rods running in metal guide on metal base.

Ripple Tank
0 out of 5(0)The apparatus consists of a wooden framed tray with a plate glass base and detachable legs, overall size of tray 600x 520x 56mm deep.
A pair of support rods with integral ‘G’ clamps is provided which can be attached to the sides of the tank and used to carry the wave generating system. A set of 4 metal barriers (reflectors) is included consisting of a pair of straight barriers 150 x 25mm, a curved barrier of 215 mm. chord length x 25mm high and a short, straight barrier 25 x 25mm, to minimize unwanted reflections from the sides of the tank a set of four loose gauze strips are provided which, when is use, are arranged around the edges to from a ‘beach’ on all sides.

Tuning Fork Pair on box (Beats Apparatus)
0 out of 5(0)It comprises two tuning forks each of frequency 426 Hz on two separate resonance boxes. One fork is fitted with adjustable loading mass. When both forks are sounded together, a clearly audible beat is produced. Rate of beats depends on difference in frequencies. This difference can be increased by changing the loading mass.

Resonance Apparatus
0 out of 5(0)It consists of a tube 100cm long, 25mm dia mounted on a stand which is fitted with leveling screws. The lower end of the rubber tubing provided is connected to the 500ml glass reservoir which slides on a metal rod and can be raised or lowered for adjusting the length of column of air. It is used to measure the velocity of sound waves in air at room temperature by using a tuning fork.
